The Jefferson Friends of the Library invite all booklovers to mark their calendars and set their Smartphones for the Friends’ annual fall used book sale.
The week-long book sale begins Saturday, Sept. 17, at 9 am in the Jefferson public library basement. Shoppers will find all types of books, including large print, mysteries, romance, cookbooks, history, inspirational fiction, and children’s books. Other items on the sale include DVD movies, audio books, music CDs, jigsaw puzzles, puppets, and cake pans. ”It’s a great time to stock up on winter reading and holiday gifts,” a Friends spokesperson said.
The first day of the sale is open to Friends of the Library members only. Basic membership is easy and affordable. Check with a librarian to purchase a membership before the sale, or purchase the first Saturday at the door. Members know to come in on Saturday for the best selections.
Beginning on Monday, Sept.19, the book sale is free and open to the public during the library’s regular open hours. Daily specials will start Monday, also.
The last day of the sale, Saturday, Sept. 24, is Bargain Day. Shoppers will be furnished with a bag to fill with books for only $4. Books and items that are individually priced are sold at half price. Come early as the best selections are sold quickly.
The Friends of the Jefferson Public Library hosts this annual used book sale as their major fundraiser. Through memberships and purchases, community members enable the library to offer more resources for everyone to use and enjoy.
